Your British accent makes this sound wayyyyy more artistic than any of us Americans could ever pull off.

A phenomenal poem, Daniel that is sadly true! Jews are all things for all people. People project onto them whatever negative stereotype suits them. Jews are somehow simultaneously capitalists and communists, white and not white, rootless and loyal to no nation but yet loyal to Israel above all else. The Jewish people are as Thomas Sowell termed a “middle man minority” who is resented because they are so successful compared to the rest of the population. Why are Jews so successful? Because of the emphasis put on learning to read and write from a young age. It is that success compared to native populations that have caused jealousy, hate and violence among Gentiles. They’ve been a convenient scapegoat anytime there are problems in society it therefore must be those devious, crafty Jews! Adolf Hitler and his henchmen in Nazi Germany believed that the Jews and their Anglo-American allies controlled the international capitalist order they so despised.

Antisemitism is sadly still a huge problem all over the world in 2025 especially in the Arab and Islamic worlds where there is much nostalgia and admiration for Hitler and the Nazis. Don’t forget that many Arabs welcomed the Afrika Korps as liberators when they arrived in North Africa and they assisted them and their Italian allies in rounding up Jews and sending them to concentration camps. The Holocaust in North Africa is not very well remembered but it is a true fact of history that can’t be denied. Nor can it be denied how Arab nations expelled their Jewish populations. Iraq, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, and others violently expelled their Jewish populations. Iraq had one of the oldest Jewish communities in the world who actually predated the arrival of the Arab Muslims in the land. They did everything they could to prove they were loyal Iraqis. But it didn’t matter, they were attacked, murdered, robbed, and chased out of the country.

Irony and sarcasm? Fascinating…but as you are well aware, that’s how non Jews perceive your faith. And yet…G-d does not remove His hand and you live forevermore.

Nicely done. Sorry for late reply. It is one of my Lenten disciplines to be off social media. I made an exception for you. Be well Daniel.

Daniel, as you are the only one I’m responding to during this penitential time, and you have sent such intriguing posts…would it be too much to ask if you could, after Easter and Passover, your thoughts on which posts I should read first? If too much, that’s ok. G-d bless you!
