My childhood Prime Minister was Sir John Major. A humble and thoughtful man who was respectful of his politicial opponents and speaks with wisdom and grace. It’s been downhill ever since in the UK and the Western world. But at least my first taste of politics was a good one. It made me believe that honesty and politics do - or at least can - go together…
